As I sit on a rustic train, riding through Egypt, I wonder how can I possibly be 50!?!?!?! Where has the time gone? It brings up the question, “if I could go back in years, what would I do differently?” I wouldn’t change a thing! I have had my fair share of tears, joy, excitement, heartache…I have lived and learned from every mistake (or so I’ve tried)! For me, turning 50 is not about getting older, it’s not only a milestone, it’s a true gift! Throughout the last 50 years, I can say I have been blessed! Blessed for my children and grandchildren, for my loving and supportive parents, for my amazing siblings, family, and friends! Thank you to all who get me (or atleast try), support and encourage me and love me unconditionally!❤ I heard it said again today, life is not for “surviving”, but for “living!” I don’t know what the future holds, but for however many days I have ahead, I want to continue to dance to the beat of my own heart (figuratively and literally), continue. to live and learn, grow and heal, laugh and cry, and when this “ride” is over, I will say I lived! So for today I wish myself a Happy 50th Birthday!!! May my today be filled with new places and adventures and red wine and chips!
