Many days I find myself approaching life with a child’s heart!
This particular day was one of them, not thinking beyond the present moment. I took in everything the world around me had to offer, with a sense of curiosity, playfulness, and wonder. I didn’t worry what the bystanders might think about my playful actions. I rode a ferris wheel and giggled! I stopped and literally smelt the flowers. I did a happy dance or few (for real), ate the grapes, and drank from the water fountain (not for real)! I kicked off my runners and walked in the sea. I even ran through the water park with the kids…fully clothed!
I appreciate that there are moments when adulting is necessary. As an adult we still have responsibilities and need to take life seriously. But living with a child at heart approach does not mean being immature, it simply means finding graditude in each day and enjoying the simple things that sparks joy. I think it is important and okay to allow that child in you come out to play when the moment strikes!
This was a magiacl day!
I felt light, care free, alive.
It was a day full of laughter, smiles, and silliness!
